Victoria II has gone gold

Paradox Interactive have announced that the highly anticipated grand strategy sequel Victoria II has gone gold, and pre-orders have started at leading digital distribution platforms. Created by the team behind Europa Universalis and Hearts of Iron, Victoria II is a grand strategy game set during the colonial era of the 19th Century. Players will lead their nation from the time of absolute monarchies in the early 19th Century through expansion and colonization to become a truly great power at the dawn of the 20th Century around the onset of World War II.

Victoria II is scheduled for release August 13th and will be published Worldwide by Paradox Interactive, and will also be available for digital download on all leading digital distribution platforms such as GamersGate. As always, Paradox have released a new trailer to celebrate the occasion.

If you pre-order the game now you will be given immediate access to bonus content, including the official Victoria II soundtrack, an exclusive in-game operatic musical piece; "Lament for the Queen" as well as the manual, a techquide, map and forum codes that will give you access to a Victoria II strategy guide for when the game is released.
