Total War: Rome II shows off the battle of Teutoburg forest

In 9AD, Teutoburg Forest was the scene of a crushing defeat for the Empire. Masterminded by Arminius, the son of a Germanic chieftain taken as a child and raised as a hostage in Rome, the battle saw his betrayal of the Roman general Varus.

So that should have set the scene a little, The Creative Assembly have released another trailer showing us a little bit more of Total War: Rome II but in such a teasing way.

The trailer below features the battle of Teutoburg Forest which is one of the historical battles featured in Total War: Rome II, showing off a small section of combat as well as a new environment. As you'll notice it's shown from quite a low angle, this close camera helps make the battle feel more realistic and dramatic but it of course shows off what you can expect the battles to look and play out like.

Total War: Rome II is available at an unspecified date during 2013 and we've still got another two factions to be announced if the two "coming soon's" left on the Total War wiki are anything to go by.
