Medal of Honor is reborn

Electronic Arts have announced that the renowned Medal of Honor is returning for another tour of duty that will launch October 15th across Europe, for the first time in 11 years, Medal of Honor has left WWII and enters the modern day setting of war-torn Afghanistan through a small band of fictional characters.

“Medal of Honor is an authentic look into today’s war. Inspired by real people and real events, the game puts players in the boots of today’s warrior -- from the infantry ground pounder to the Tier 1 Operator,” said Greg Goodrich, Executive Producer of Medal of Honor. “We are proud of this piece because it offers a glimpse into the game we’re creating, while also showing the mindset of these warriors.”

The single-player campaign is being developed by EA LA, who have worked closely in conjunction with Tier 1 Operators from the U.S. Special Operations Community so that they create the most authentic modern war experience possible. EA LA have enlisted the multiplayer expertise of EA DICE, working together the two studios are ready to reset the franchise for a new generation October 15th 2010 coincidentally almost a month before the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops. Medal of Honor will be available on Windows PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

Alongside the announcement was the emotionally charge trailer “Leave a Message”, one in a series of trailers that will be released up to Medal of Honor’s release.
