Da New Guys: Day of the Jackass announced

Wadjet Eye Games have announced a new title to add to their collection of independent retro-styled games and have teamed up with UK-based indie developer Chris Burton to invite players to jump into the ring with Da New Guys: Day of the Jackass, a peculiar adventure game set in the world of professional wrestling.

"Da New Guys: Day of the Jackass is a rare game that manages to be both charming and bust-a-gut hilarious," says Dave Gilbert, Wadjet Eye Games' CEO. "I've been a fan of Chris Burton's work since he first introduced Da New Guys in an amateur freeware game years ago, so I'm very excited to be kicking off Wadjet Eye's 2012 lineup with their commercial debut."

Da New Guys is a nostalgic throwback to the good-old-days where the Secret of Monkey Island reigned supreme, it's a point and click with humorous dialogue, clever puzzles and very quirky art. When Brain, a member of Da New Guys -and worst brawler in Wrestle Zone history- wins the title belt, an angry mob shows up in protest ultimately leading to his kidnapping. In order to defend the Da New Guy's Wrestle Zone reputation it is up to Da remaining New Guys to get him back.
