SimCity is back!

SimCity is back!

The internet is in a buzz with the announcement of the next game in the SimCity franchise, and this time it looks more promising than SimCity Societies! Taking its place as a rebirth of the series it was yet another announcement at GDC, say hello to SimCity. Promising the depth of simulation that the franchise is known and loved for, it also boasts to be accessible for all and will feature a robust multiplayer mode allowing players to change the world together.

For the first time in the SimCity franchise a player’s decisions will have long lasting repercussions that extend beyond their city limits. Together players will address real global challenges such as climate change, the search for renewable resources and natural disasters.

SimCity is powered by Maxis’ proprietary engine the GlassBox engine, and will apparently allow the simulation to come to life in a way never before possible, literally everything in the world is simulated; right down to each individual sim. So it’s time to sit back, relax and watch the trailer for SimCity.

Incidentally you can already pre-order the game from Origin to receive SimCity Heroes & Villains content.
