The Evil Within is pushed back to make your Halloween that bit more special

The Evil Within has slipped to October 24th

It was only just the other day that Bethesda Softworks and Tango Gameworks announced their Summer release for the highly anticipated The Evil Within, well unfortunately they’re back with further news that will see you waiting a little longer for Shinji Mikami’s return to the survival horror.

Unfortunately the date has slipped back to October 24th, although to try and make up for it, Bethesda have also announced a pre-order incentive for those that just can’t cut it in the world of survival horror; The Fighting Chance Pack provides players with a handful of additional items that may help them stave off death for a little longer including an all important Medical Kit, Green Gel to upgrade Sebastian’s attributes, Incendiary and Poison Bolts and the all important Double Barrel Shotgun with Three Shells, and you’d better hope you use them wisely!

Ok, so I’m as disappointed as you are, after all The Evil Within is the first promise to a return of the classic Japanese Horror game in a long time! In The Evil Within we can expect the combination of highly-crafted environments, anxiety and story to create a world that will make you want to stop playing… In a good way. I’m never a fan of see how scary out game is videos, but why not check out the latest video they’ve released for the game.

In The Evil Within Detective Sebastian Castellanos and his partners are called in to investigate a gruesome mass murder, however after his fellow officers are mysteriously slaughtered it is clear that something is very very wrong.

After being ambushed and knocked unconscious, the video shows the unimaginable terror that Sebastian will face as he fights for survival in a frightening journey through the midst of grotesque and hideous creatures.

The Evil Within is scheduled for a release October 24th 2014 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and Windows PC, it may be a little later than originally scheduled, but you’ll still have a new game for this Halloween!
