Tomba! coming to the PSN!

So there are times when living in the UK is the most awesome thing in the world, even for games, however sometimes you just wish you lived in the US; not only are there more developers over there, but they also end up getting a lot of awesome games that will never make it over to our shores, even digital shores!

So MonkeyPaw games have announced that Tomba! or as we Brits like to call it; Tombi! is making its way to the PSone Classics section for the Playstation Network Tuesday 19th June for $9.99, now I'm sorry, but try and find the original game for that much!

If you're unaware of the cult masterpiece, Tombi was the brainchild of Tokuro Fujiwara known for his work on Ghosts'n Goblins and Mega Man, and as one of the first few games to use the Dual Shock it was an innovation of its time, not to mention the fact it was a blissfully fun platformer and RPG rolled into one.

Tomba is undoubtedly a legendary game when it comes to collectors, and many, like us at Gamercast hold it as being one of the best games on the Playstation, its unique three layer environments created new and interesting gameplay, and everyone loves a protagonist that gnaws on everything he sees.

Tomba! Will be avalable on the Playstation Network June 19th for $9.99, here's hoping they bring the lesser revered Tomba! 2 to the PSN, oh, and over to Europe as well, we may have a copy of both games in our collection, but what if I want a spare digital copy!

Hmm a few comments off the Monkeypaw website, although now I'm a little confused

"We hope to get it to EU fans in a timely manner. But it will take some time. My best ballpark would be within this year. Hopefully closer to this fall but I’m trying to be realistic."

"Yep. We plan to release at approximately the same date in US/EU."

Those two comments kind of contradict themselves :/

Also

"One thing for sure, when we get the game to Europe, it will be Tomba, as opposed to Tombi. Hope that doesn’t deter our fans."
