OnLive introduces the Indie Showcase

The pioneer of on-demand cloud gaming OnLive have announced that they are a Gold Sponsor of the 14th Annual Independent Games Festival and will be brining the excitement of indie development to the masses with a two-week Indie Showcase.

So from today through till March 11th players in the US and UK can play a fantastic lineup of 16 current IGF nominees and honourable mentions for free through the OnLive gaming service. Players will then be able to like their favourites through OnLive’s Facebook page, and the most liked title will be announced March 12th.

The 16 games include Atom Zombie Smasher (Blendo Games), Be Good (DigiPen Institute of Technology), Botanicula (Amanita Design), Dear Esther (The Chinese Room), Dustforce (Hitbox Team), English Country Tune (Stephen Lavelle), Frozen Synapse (Mode 7 Games), FTL (Justin Ma and Matthew Davis), Lume (State of Play Games), Nitronic Rush (DigiPen Institute of Technology), Once Upon a Spacetime (RMIT), POP (Rob Lach), SpaceChem (Zachtronics Industries), To the Moon (Freebird Games), Toren (Swordtales), and WAY (CoCo & Co.). Each game includes a 30 minute demo, and can be played on a PC, Mac, Smartphone or even a TV with the OnLive gaming systems.

Starting the opening day of GDC on March 5th, OnLive will also be placing previously honoured IGF games on sale for 75% off with free demos for all games.
