New Releases this week 13/05/11

The days are burning up until the release of L.A. Noire, and what better to make it go faster than to get a spot of gaming in; with multiplayer action, childlike fun and some good old fashioned carnage on the table. Here's our pick of the releases this week.

Brink
Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Windows

In case you’ve not heard of the newest multiplayer game on the block, Brink is one extremely promising title that pairs the traditional singleplayer campaign and engaging multiplayer into one, similar to the efforts of Mindjack, Brink pits you against real people as you play through the campaign who are striving to complete their goals that conflict with your own. With brilliant customisation options, the only thing Brink doesn’t have going for it, is female models.

Lego Pirates of the Caribbean
Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, DS, 3DS and PSP

The Lego series returns shortly after its foray to Hogwarts and battling the Clone Wars, this time TT Games have turned to yet another successful movie franchise with Pirates of the Caribbean, the usual Lego antics ensue with your favourite characters. Non-Lego fans will find the same opinions of the series are concurrent with the latest title, fans will be ecstatic.

Xbox Live Hits Collection
Xbox 360

For those without access to the net, or perhaps you don’t trust buying things through consoles after the recent PSN hack, then you can pick up three of the best titles available on the Xbox Live Marketplace, including Limbo, Trials HD, and Splosion Man. You’ve got artist brilliance, addictive arcade fun, and a puzzling platformer that is so hilarious you’ll not believe what you’ve been missing all this time.

Zombie Driver
Windows

The fun and addictive Zombie Driver comes to retail for all of those without Steam and the internet, if you’ve never played it, think of it as a top down isometric driving game, where you will need to save survivors of the zombie outbreak, and cause as much zombie carnage as possible. If you want something fun to sink your teeth into this week then look no further.

With a nice array of games to choose from you've got a little bit of anything, perhaps before the epic L.A. Noire is released you fancy a bit of harmless fun, no better spent with Lego Pirates of the Caribbean, or Zombie Driver. Will you be buying anything this week?
