Stuck for choices for Halloween, try Costume Quest on for size

The season of Halloween is upon us, where kids costumes adorn shop shelves and unusually large amounts of candy can be bought from shops without cashier's batting an eye, and if perhaps Red Dead Redemption's Undead Nightmare Pack sounds a little too scary for you, then you should check out Costume Quest, that fully embodies the more innocent Halloween traditions.

Costume Quest unfolds on Halloween night across a suburban neighbourhood, a village carnival and a monster-infested shopping mall. You play part of a group of young friends who must rid their neighbourhood of monsters using their homemade costumes! In good-old Halloween fashion, players can go door-to-door collecting candy, cards, quest assignments and more as they prepare themselves for combat mode where they transform into larger-than-life versions of their costumes in an attempt to destroy the monsters.

Costume Quest will be available October 20th for Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network where it will be available for 1200 MS Points and £9.99 respectively, from the overload of charm in the screenshots alone we will not miss out on this adorable downloadable title.

If you are into your Halloween traditions, head on down to the Double Fine website as they are currently running three competitions centred around your ability to create costumes, and carve pumpkins, with good prizes up to grabs, it's most definitely worth a look.
